When in the course of Human Events, it becomes necessary for a people to dissolve the political trust that they have placed in their elected leaders, and to remind themselves of the separate but equal station to which the Law of Nature and Natures' God have entitled them, it is incumbent upon them to illuminate to their worldly neighbors the reasons that have brought about that loss of trust.
Our self-evident truths remain unchanged.
All mankind is created equal.
All mankind is endowed by Universal Creation with specific, undeniable rights.
That among these are Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness.
That to secure these rights, those elected to govern will be ever mindful that they serve at the behest of the people governed. That the elected will be ever mindful of their responsibility to the governed. That the elected will remain open, honest, impartial, and sincere to the governed.
It is not irrational to believe that the public trust can be willfully manipulated by those in power. It is not irrational to believe that public opinion can be swayed through deception, even as the public represents an honest desire to trust. And while mankind accepts the trappings of modern life, while they are attainable, to dispense with these trappings in the name of truth and justice is their most basic calling.
However...
When those in power have neglected the will of the People in the name of party expedience,
When those in power have circumvented the will of the People for party convenience,
When those in power have ignored the simplest form of question with rhetorical evasion,
When those in power have ignored the average citizen in deference to a political committee, or a political lobby,
When those in power have misused the Treasury,
When those in power have ignored the security of a free country,
When those in power have placed generosities in law applicable only to them,
When those in power have placed this nations' sons and daughters in harms way and then ignored their most basic requirements,
When those in power have forgotten from where it is that they derive that very power, it is the Right of the People to stand and say "Enough".
It is the Right of the People to say enough to corruption.
It is the Right of the People to say enough to over-taxation.
It is the Right of the People to say enough to misrepresentation.
It is the Right of the People to say enough to party politics.
Avarice, Corruption, Greed, Misrepresentation, Deception, Excess, and all manner of evils have permeated the halls of our government.
It is the Right of the People to say enough.
It is a Universal Right that all are equal, that all are entitled to Life, Liberty, Happiness, and a government truthfully representative of the Needs of the People as a whole.
To our representatives...remember, We are the People, We keep the Constitution, We guard the Constitution, with our lives, with whatever fortune we have, with our very honor, and with a firm Reliance in our beliefs.
